In this project, we are exploring the simplicity of a chair that expands into a complex geometry, ensuring that it never appears the same when viewed from different angles. Using CORTEN steel as our material starting point, this table showcases the craftsmanship involved in manipulating such material into folds and creases.
By incorporating an abundance of geometrical elements into the design, the user becomes the creative force in determining how these geometries can accommodate different items. We intentionally avoid providing any brief on the chair's functionality, allowing the audience to walk around and experience new aesthetic elements that will never be repeated from any particular point of observation. By incorporating chrome plating into the design, the complexity is further accentuated through the reflections of the surrounding areas.
